 Repairs & Painting of Wooden Shutters or ‘VOLET’ in Enghien-Les-Bains, Val-D’Oise

 

This project was simple in nature. The pictures are added to show that we have carried out “renovation & painting projects” of different natures.

 

But, at the same time, repairing and painting of ‘wooden shutters’, known as VOLETS in “French”, is not exactly like repairing and painting of walls or ceilings. The material used in exterior painting and renovation is different than that is used in the ‘interior of the apartment’.

 

Repairs, as you will see, is done with a special paste, which is made up of the wood. Before the repairs, under-paint was applied so that repairs last for the long time.


The paint used for the doors, or volets, was white spirit based. On the metallic parts, black paint was used.




 

In the picture above you can see how the walls were protected. As ‘white spirit based paints’ are difficult to wash off, therefore extra care was needed so that it does not touch the walls. Otherwise, all the beauty of the work would have been gone.
